Quotes

Everyone loves a good quote. They are great for any occasion whether for something personal, romantic, uplifting, joyful, or inspirational. Quotes are something that I've loved over the years as different ones have crossed my path along the way. Recently, a few have made their way "across my desk," if you will, as I started an incredible yet challenging Bible study this past week. Their sources are men and woman of the faith whom I have come to greatly admire and look up to. They were a blessing to me, thus, I'd thought I'd share them with you.

"What is the secret to great living? Entire separation to Christ and devotion to Him. Thus speaks every man and woman whose life has made more than a passing flicker in the spiritual realm. It is a life that has no time for trifling that counts."    -Amy Carmichael

"Self is a tight lock. I see many decent sinners who are in spiritual prison because their self is on the throne of their hearts, and Jesus is on the cross. What liberation comes when Jesus cleanses their hearts with His blood and comes to the throne, and self goes on the cross!"   -Corrie ten Boom

And the last, which continually brings great conviction and testing thoughts to my mind:

" Jesus says, 'Rise up, My love, My fair one and come away.' He asks you to come out from the world and be separate and touch not the unclean thing. Make no reserves. Come altogether away from selfishness - from anything which would divide your chaste and pure love to Christ - your soul's Husband. Come away from your old habits. Avoid the very appearance of evil. Come away from old friendships which may tempt you back to the flesh pots of Egypt. Leave all these things. Come away to private communion. Come away, shut the doors of your chamber and talk with your Lord Jesus and have close and intimate dealing with Him. Oh, take care that you begin aright by coming right away from the world, by making your dedication perfect, complete, unreserved, sincere, spotless."   -Charles Spurgeon

It's so fun being a GIRL!

A couple weeks ago, a dear sweet friend asked me to do her hair for a special performance and this is the result! Sometimes, there really isn't anything better than being a Girl!

On the 13th of April, my brothers group, Bold Reflection sang the National Anthem at the State Capital and did a phenomenal job! Please pardon the wind...I was standing in front of an open window and it didn't even dawn on me that that might affect the sound. :D Enjoy!

Wisconsin!!

The end of February to the beginning of March, I had the great opportunity of meeting some dear sweet friends in Wisconsin for the Holiness Conference hosted by Menominee Falls Baptist Church. This was a four day conference and the emphasis was The Glorious Gospel. To sum it up....it was more than amazing!!! Yet, what's a great conference without making awesome memories to go with it?
Leigha, Bethany, Hannah and I are gearing up for another session. So much teaching and so little time!
The music was the cherry on top of the conference!

Basketball was a highlight!

Spending time with Bethany was more than a blessing!

Caleb and his amazing cookie!..... :D

My Hannah girl!

Staying on a farm was full of lots of sweet surprises! For a city girl, I must say, a chick falling sound asleep in my scarf was more than memorable!

Sweet Reagan!

My last day there, I got to spend the day with Leigha as her "shadow" while she, Zach, and Caleb attended classes after the conference.

Man I can't help but LOVE this little boy!!!

New Adventures

It has been way to long since I've blogged. I almost forgot how to post! But none the less, here I am once again.

Many things have happened over the months, well years but a new highlight that I wanted to post is a new adventure I am taking with my mom and that is starting a business in Staging and Redesign!

Staging is a process in which you prepare homes for sale in a way that would best display it's features architecturally and enhance the space for better buyer appeal. Statistically a staged home stands out from the rest of the homes on the market.

Redesign has many of the same foundational goals and methods as staging however the redesign of the space is based on it's function. Design changes may even be in greater depth and quantity.

My mom and I took a week long Staging and Redesign class the middle of last month and thoroughly enjoyed it. Talk about drinking from a fire hose!

Here my mom and I are on Graduation Day

To learn more about the Staging and Redesign class go here and you'll find lots of information!

We learned how to create joyful new environments while using what the homeowners already had within the surrounding of the home which meant, shopping the house! The results were amazing!

Before

After

It was amazing to see what you can do with selected items you already had to choose from without having to purchase anything. You truly can rejuvenate a space without starting from scratch!

It's such a sweet reminder of "Therefore if any person is [in-grafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!" II Corinthians 5:17 AMP

Every staging experience is such a sweet reminder of the precious undeserved gift we have in and through Jesus and my heart continues to grow in overwhelming gratitude.

As these past couple of weeks have taken off, and with them more staging opportunities, it will be so neat to see what the Lord will do next and where He continues to take this business!

Quotes

I have always loved quotes. They are something that are short and usually to the point and more often than not, they speak directly to a specific area in my life.
Right after having sprained my ankle almost 6 weeks ago, a friend graciously lent me his iPod full of great radio theater dramas that I really enjoyed listening to. My favorite was Charlie's Choice which, to my knowledge is a Lamplighter Drama. (but I could be wrong) It is one that I highly recommend!
While listening to it, I came across a couple quotes that really stood out to me and chose to write them down for keeping in my "quote journal." I thought it'd be nice to post them.

"When God blesses, there's no sorrow to it."

"The most important thing in life isn't about what you get, it's about what you become."

"It's not until we change that others can follow."

"The goals you set for tomorrow shape who you are today."

It's amazing how what is said or heard in life can affect one person for the better or for worse. Something to continuously ponder.

A great week with a Dear Friend :D

My Dear sweet Whitney came for a visit and I must say, we had a BLAST! Among the great pictures we got, we shared really late night talks, awesome times with friends, great memories made in the mountains, quick shopping adventures, yummy smoothies in the morning (made by our fabulous Vita-Mix), great ice cream splurges, Bunko and Card games with sweet family and friends, and much much more!

A ways into Whitney's visit, we decided to take some time and head to the mountains. We opted for simple since my ankle is still on the mend and other things that kept us from doing all the great things....so... we opted out of rock climbing, bungee jumping, paragliding, tubing....you know all the great things. We had a lovely picnic in Evergreen and the lake was gorgeous! If we had time I would have rented a boat and hung out there all day. :D
Though Whitney had been here 6 days by this point, we finally decided to finally get some pictures...so we started by taking some self portraits of us. :D We didn't have the famous photographer friends with us so we got creative and took our own pictures.
Couldn't resist the mountain view! Just a piece of God's creation.

To top it off....we enjoyed some yummy icecream at Basin Robins just down the road from the Lake.
A glimpse of the splurge :D
Later on that night we went to Casa Bonita with my family...not for the food but only for the entertainment! I had to let Whitney experience Black Bart's Cave which freaked me out to tears when I was a little girl. Now we just laugh at it....and the Monkey!!! My oh my are their memories of that monkey!....he was scary too!! I just loved the divers...they always have been the cherry on top of the experience.

Cheering ourselves up before braving the food.
Ok....I guess we can be somewhat satisfied...at least for the moment :D
Life just can't be life without having fun! :D:D

If you didn't know where this was...you'd think we were in some other country....well that's a romantic thought indeed!

What a blessing it was to have you here Whitney! Your friendship means a great deal to me! I love you and will always love you as though you were a sister....in fact in my heart you are one! Many blessings to you sweet friend! I love you!
